The University of Northern Colorado Active Schools Institute is hosting the third-annual Physical Activity Leadership (PAL) Academy from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m July 12. This year’s theme is “Beyond Obesity: Benefits of Physical Activity for the Whole Child” and will encourage conversation on how school physical activity can benefit academic achievement, classroom behaviors, and social-emotional wellbeing for students and educators.

The keynote speaker will be Dr. Chrissy Chard of the Colorado School of Public Health at CSU and she will discuss “Moving Beyond Obesity – Why we must, why we should, and how we all benefit.”
