• Clear communication strategies.
• Panel discussion on “boots on the ground” resources for patients and clients.
• Local resources to address SDoH and low health literacy.

Learning objectives:

• Describe how building trust helps open doors to effective communication.
• Demonstrate increased knowledge of health literacy principles and effective patient/client communication strategies.
• Identify local resources available to address population-based health literacy and SDoH for at-risk populations.

Dean Schillinger, MD, is a primary care physician, scientist, author, and public health advocate. Dr. Schillinger is an internationally recognized expert in health communication and has been widely recognized for his work related to improving the health of vulnerable populations.
