Linsey

Linsey Atchison, a 2015 graduate of the Colorado School of Public Health at Colorado State University, has been accepted to medical school at Midwestern University.

As a student in the Epidemiology concentration, Linsey’s coursework and practice-based learning opportunities provided her with public health skills and tenets that will invaluably shape her medical career.  For her practicum, Linsey worked with the Larimer Country Health Department to develop bilingual child immunization resources and helped to plan National Immunization Awareness month. She then traveled to rural India for her capstone project, entitled “Polio Eradication through India’s Yearly National Immunization Program”, examining the efficacy of the National Immunization Days to lower rates of polio in India.

Linsey starts a Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine program at Midwestern University in Chicago, Illinois this fall. She looks forward to integrating her passion for epidemiology and global health issues into her clinical training.

Congratulations Linsey!
