Brittney Sly earned her MPH in global health and health disparities from the Colorado School of Public Health and is now a doctoral student in the Department of Food Science and Human Nutrition at Colorado State University. As a registered dietitian nutritionist, she has been working with a small community in Rwanda, where malnutrition is a significant problem. To diversify the community’s diet and introduce a variety of different foods, she has helped implement kitchen gardens. As a result, she has empowered and educated the Rwandan women, who are now able to provide a more well-rounded diet to their families. Brittney is a great example of one of our alumni who is continuing to do impactful work in public health.
