Kendra Bigsby is the Assistant Director for the Colorado School of Public Health at Colorado State University. Her passion for public health started at an early age and she was serving on community coalitions by the age of 12. During college and after, she enjoyed serving as an HIV/AIDS educator and trainer for the American Red Cross. She received her Master of Public Health (MPH) degree from the University of Michigan in Health Behavior and Health Education, and before joining the ColoradoSPH she worked at the Hemophilia Foundation of Michigan as a Program Associate and at the Health District of Northern Larimer County as a Program Evaluator,
Kendra began working with the program in 2008 with the very first students. As Assistant Director, Kendra oversees the day to day operations of the program. She is the primary contact for prospective students and enjoys helping others to see how their interests can fit into public health. Kendra also manages the program’s curriculum, admissions, website, communications, and budgets, and oversees academic advising and student affairs.
When not at work, Kendra enjoys spending time outdoors, reading, and learning about dog training and working with her own dog.
