Olivia Arnold, Ph.D., M.S., R.E.H.S., joined the faculty of Colorado SPH at CSU in 2024. She has over two decades of professional experience in toxicology, environmental health and public health.
Dr. Arnold grew up in California where her love of the outdoors led to her interest of the health of the environment and those living in it. She received her B.S. degree from University of California at Berkeley where she studied Conservation Resource Studies and then completed her M.S. at California State University at Northridge in Environmental and Occupational Health. After working for an environmental consulting firm followed by the health department, she decided to pursue her Ph.D. in Toxicology at Colorado State University where her dissertation focus was on phytochemical toxicology.
Dr. Arnold’s area of interest is in connecting the environment around us with our health.
She approaches all her classes and research through the One Health lens and enjoys teaching toxicology, environmental health and public health at the undergraduate and graduate level.
