This year the American Public Health Association held its annual conference in Denver. With a focus on “Creating the Healthiest Nation: Ensuring the Right to Health”, over 12,000 public health professionals, educators, and students convened from across the nation and globe. The Colorado School of Public Health had an active and prominent presence at this year’s conference. ColoradoSPH showcased 120 presentations and research abstracts over the course of the 5-day conference; 7 students and faculty from the Colorado State University campus participated in presentations. Numerous other students and faculty attended the conference for professional development and networking purposes.

As a sponsor of the conference, in addition to presentations and awards, ColoradoSPH celebrated its recent re-accreditation at APHA. The Colorado School of Public Health is the first and only accredited school of public health in the Rocky Mountain Region, attracting top tier faculty and students from diverse backgrounds across the country. Participation in events such as these further promotes the School’s presence, and solidifies its commitment to innovative research and community service to address public health issues.
