Dr. Chrissy Chard

Please help us welcome Dr. Chrissy Chard, a new faculty member in the Colorado School of Public Health!

Dr. Chard completed her PhD in the Department of Health and Exercise Science (HES) at Colorado State University. Her research focuses on physical activity, self-esteem and body image in adolescent girls. Dr. Chard will teach courses on the CSU campus covering applied behavior change theory, physical activity, program planning and health communication. She also runs an after-school program for middle school students called Smart Fit Girls.

Originally from Denver, Dr. Chard has many years of experience in health behavior change and wellness coaching. She values living an active lifestyle and is a competitive powerlifter. She loves learning about the newest ways to challenge her body and mind. She enjoys her close network of family and friends (and her new husband!), and loves spending time with them.
